Notebook: Oklahoma State-TCU
Kyle left me alone to watch the Little Monday blooodbath contest that was OSU-TCU in Fort Worth on Monday night, and Oklahoma State continued it’s offensive struggles in a completely lackluster road performance.
Five thoughts on OSU’s loss to TCU. Here’s my notes from the game….
- This game, so far, is exactly what I expected to see. Two Big 12 lightweights exchanging
turnoversblows with no semblance of an offense. - “Offensively, he [Anthony Allen] is still a long ways away.” Umm…He’s a senior. Not much time left.
- No kidding….I leave my couch game tied at 8, go make two turkey and cheese sandwiches (with mustard) and make a protein shake, sit back down and game is still tied at 8. I didn’t time it, but it was a long while…
- Olivier may not be able to contribute much defensively, but his left hook is easy money.
- OSU may not be good at basketball, but somehow TCU may be worse.
- Turnovers continue to mount up….could be headed for a season high. Against the worst team in the league.
- Wait, are we the worst team in the league now?

- Not sure if OSU’s defense has fallen apart in the second half, or TCU is just lighting them up. But sheesh….They’re out here looking like the Jayhawks.
- TCU owned their first double digit conference lead tonight…for the first time all season.
- Mitch Solomon fouled out for the 28th time this season. Gotta be a record. Final stat: 2 points, 5 fouls, 4 turnovers, 6 reb.
- The Jawun Evanless Cowboys may be the winless Cowboys….
- OSU outscored 44-31 in the second half…and a season high for turnovers. Not real good.
- The production from the frontcourt has been abysmal.
- Ending on this:
Ford: "I thought we made a lot of tired mistakes out there that kept us from having any type of success."
