Notebook: Oklahoma State-Texas Tech
Five thoughts are here. Let’s bang this out quickly.
• Mitch Solomon had as many or more fouls than OSU had points until the 15-minute mark in the first half.
• The two teams started a combined 1/15 from the field so that was fun.
• Texas Tech has to have the worst uniforms/court combo in the Big 12. The opposite of Kansas. For football, I’d have to go with Kansas.
• Do you think Jeff Orr still goes to games?
• These are world class. Not as good as the cursive but right up there.
Can we bring the back as our shoot around shirts? Have mercy. @pistolsguy @KOCOCarson @claybillman pic.twitter.com/OlETI2xKxY

• Leyton Hammonds was happening for a while tonight. He and Jawun Evans combined for 16 of OSU’s first 20. He finished with a 14-10 line and kicked in three steals. OSU has some pieces, man, some good ones. I feel like I say that every week, but it has a star and some pieces and somehow the whole thing is one big cluster.
• One thing we do well? Shoot free throws. OSU is 21st in the country in free throw percentage and made 19/24 (29 percent on Wednesday night).
• I think my favorite thing about Evans is how little he talks and preens. He just balls. He’s a baller. If you saw him playing at the Colvin you would do unspeakable things to get on his team for two or three runs on a late Tuesday afternoon.
• LOL

• OSU had five assists. Texas Tech had nine. That’s a pretty good indication of how poorly played the game was.
• One person who did not play poorly was Aaron Ross for Tech. He had 22-7-2 on 6/13 shooting. It looked even better than that too.
• It ended 124-123.

• I wasn’t really listening but …
Good lord. Is this announcer really trying to tell us how bright the future is for OSU basketball based on Ford's tourney accomplishments?

• At least this happened? Oklahoma State’s women won in Norman for the first time since … before I was in high school. I still had an AIM screen name the last time OSU’s women won in Norman!

• OSU didn’t trail for the last 35 minutes. Overtime.
• Not OSU-related but still pretty epic.
On the radio, Bill Self just called Brannen Greene's dunk as time expired a "dick move." Wow. Now that's a coach calling out a player.

• Announcer Tim Welsh: “A game like this can change your mindset.” I don’t think I took that the way he meant for me to take it.
• Hahahahaha!
Who's the idiot who named our arena after legendary coaches instead of a supermarket chain when we were copying all of Tech's traditions?
