Wolford is rated as a high three-star prospect and, as recruiting analyst Jay Fielder pointed out, has a case to be one of the best in the state in the 2017 class.
Arguably the top OL in Oklahoma for 2017. https://t.co/sqN0X9KxId

Wolford is the second verbal pledge of the class, joining 2017 safety Ty Thomas.
With the commitment of Wolford, the plan to continue to replenish talent along the offensive line receives another big boost. He held offers from only TU and OSU, but it’s like the coaching staff got in on him early before he had the chance to really explode. The Cowboys were able to land several top Oklahoma prospects in the 2016 cycle with Calvin Bundage, Tramonda Moore, and Justice Hill all signing with OSU. Perhaps the commitment of a big-time offensive tackle within the state could set the wheels in motion for another big in-state recruiting haul for Gundy and Co.
Of course, the coaching staff is all types of hyped. Coach Adkins value as a recruiter is on full-display over the last month.
