Oklahoma State Basketball Players, John Wall Shocked By Tyrek Coger’s Death
The Tyrek Coger news on Thursday evening was absolutely stunning. Coger, a recent Brad Underwood transfer, died after a workout climbing stairs at Boone Pickens Stadium apparently due to heat exhaustion.
Coger was relatively new to the OSU team — he only arrived at OSU in early July — but it was clear his old friends and new teammates took a liking to him. Coger is pals with John Wall who was one of the first to reach out on social media on Thursday.
Coger and Wall played a fun one-on-one game together a few years ago. Full of trash talk and fun highlights.
Here’s what Wall put on Instagram on Thursday.

The rest of OSU’s players also reached out including Coger’s roommate Davon Dillard. Former players like Markel Brown and even Travis Ford weighed in as well.
