Oklahoma State Beats Arkansas-Pine Bluff In the Saddest GIA
Oklahoma State beat Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Monday behind 19 points from Jeff Newberry. Chris Olivier and Jawun Evans both had 13.
“Jeff Newberry was phenomenal,” said Travis Ford. “He was a big reason why we won this game. His stats are great, and what he did defensively was great. He was basically the only guy out there guarding anyone. We had some guys who just didn’t play well tonight, but Jeff Newberry carried the load. He did a tremendous job. [Chris] Olivier also did some good things.”
At this point, I don’t have anything insightful or funny to say about an empty GIA. It just bums me out. It stinks. Travis Ford goes as hard as anyone in that athletic department and nobody really cares (and it’s hard to blame them).
What used to be the "Rowdiest Arena in the Country." Taken during the game tonight. #okstate @pistolsguy @Pokelahoma pic.twitter.com/LF1TvxNfgK

I actually agree with what Pokelahoma said about this.
@BDubpoke13 @pistolsguy so I think maybe I don’t blame students anymore for exercising their choice esp bc we know what we have.

Anyway, the Pokes play on Thursday afternoon which is kind of fun. I always enjoy these Thanksgiving tournaments where you finish breakfast, look up and say “oh hey, Kansas and Michigan are playing!”
We’ll get more in-depth on this basketball squad later, but first we have, uh, a big thing going on over in BPS.
