Oklahoma State to face University of South Carolina in Super Regionals
The South Carolina Gamecocks finished off UNC-Wilmington 10-5 on Tuesday to secure a spot in Super Regionals against the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Oklahoma State, who just finished off a sweep of USC’s rivals, the Clemson Tigers, will play at South Carolina in Columbia.

The Gamecocks, at 46-16, finished the season ranked No. 9 in the USA Today Coaches’ Poll. After losing their first game in the Columbia regional, USC won their next two games to advance out of the loser’s bracket. They outscored opponents 47-10 after losing their opening game, 5-4. This is their 12th (!) appearance in the Super Regionals.
Oklahoma State returns to the Super Regionals after a year’s absence. The Cowboys reached the Super Regionals under head coach Josh Holliday in 2014 as well, bowing out to UC-Irvine.

Outfielder Conor Costello told the Tulsa World they aren’t ignoring what lies beyond two more wins.
“There are quite a few of the guys on the team that went through the Super Regional a couple of years ago in Stillwater,” Costello said. “We definitely know now to take it one game at a time. Yeah, we are two wins away and everybody knows that. Omaha is on our mind — and has been on our mind the whole season — but you can’t get ahead of yourself when it comes to that stuff.”
Game 1 is on Saturday at 2:00 PM Central Time from Founders Park in Columbia South Carolina.
The game will be televised on ESPN2.
