Oklahoma State Finished No. 92 in Basketball Attendance For 2015-16 Season
One (final?) nail in the coffin for the Travis Ford Era. The NCAA released attendance numbers this week for every D1 college basketball team, and OSU did not fare well.
It checked in as the No. 92 team in the country in average attendance with 5,857 per game (and that seems pretty generous actually). No. 92! Behind basketball powerhouses like Siena, Bradley, Ohio, Weber St. (shout out to Harold Arceneaux)Â and Hawaii. A few spots ahead of TCU (!)
If you look at percentage of arena filled up, it’s probably much worse. That is teams behind OSU like Southern Illinois, UNI and Wyoming don’t have 13,000-seat cathedrals like Stillwater hosts.
Here’s a look at the l Ford Era.
2016: 5,857
2015: 7,897
2014: 10,397
2013: 9,814
2012: 9,239
2011: 10,447
2010: 11,585
2009: 10,031
So we definitely voted with our money and our checks, and Mike Holder definitely heard us. And now the Brad Underwood Era begins. Good luck, coach.
