Oklahoma State Football 10th in ESPN FPI Preseason Rankings
ESPN’s football power index, which is said to be “the best predictor of a team’s performance going forward for the rest of the season,” gives Oklahoma State a very favorable preseason ranking.
The index ranks the Cowboys at No. 10, second in the Big 12 behind OU (No. 3).
In 2015, the ESPN rating index gave Oklahoma State a preseason ranking of 30, behind Miami, Florida, Texas, Georgia Tech and others. Oklahoma State finished No. 20 in the final AP Poll of the year.
The projected win-loss ratio for the Cowboys per the website is 8.9-3.1.
