Although just a sophomore, Rising has picked up offers from Michigan, Arizona, California, LSU, Houston, Arizona State, Fresno State, Nebraska, Oregon State, San Diego State, Washington State, and now Oklahoma State.
Rising has been tabbed as one of the top 4 quarterbacks in the 2018 class by ESPN, and 247sports ranks him as the No. 7 pro-style quarterback in the recruiting class.
He compiled a whopping 3,213 passing yards as a sophomore, including 756 yards on the ground to go with 51 total touchdowns.
Rising has a very short, quick release and really great form for just a sophomore. He also displays an excellent ability to pull the ball down and run to make plays with his legs when needed.
He is really quick on his toes, can make plays on the run, and delivers a really, really nice deep ball with supreme accuracy. Even more impressive, most quarterbacks can make the open throws. But Rising has an ability to see the play before it develops, many times throwing his receiver open downfield and displaying great vision. Check out his highlights from his sophomore season here:
