Oklahoma State Reaches Out to Wright State Grad Transfer Guard
Mike Boynton and his staff seem to be prioritizing adding a day one contributor at the guard position, as evidenced by their recent interest in the transfer market.
The latest feeler put out to gauge interest has been extended to graduate transfer Mark Alstork, a high-scoring Wright State guard. He’s also been contacted by contacted by Michigan, Baylor, Iowa State, UNLV, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, South Florida, Tennessee, Nevada, Pittsburgh, Texas Tech, Southern Utah, Michigan State and Iona according to Pat Lawless.
The 6-foot-5 guard was named to the First Team All-Horizon League last season, and averaged 19 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.
Although Alstork is currently on the open market, he’s also got his name in the NBA draft. Because he has not signed with an agent, the door is still open for him to return for a final year of eligibility as a graduate transfer. With Amauri Hardy back on the market and getting interest from many schools, it seems OSU won’t wait on a decision and is actively pursuing options to fill that spot for the 2017-18 season.
