Oklahoma State placed four players on the All-Big 12 Baseball first team which came out on Tuesday. Its middle infield of J.R. Davis and Donnie Walton both got nods as well as Tyler Buffett and Thomas Hatch who was also named Big 12 Pitcher of the Year.

Your reaction, fellas?

For Walton it’s his third-straight first team appearance. He’s one of only 10 players in Big 12 history to be named to the All-Big 12 first team three times.

For OSU, it’s their third Big 12 Pitcher of the Year in the last five years (Michael Freeman, Andrew Heaney).

“It’s prettty special,” said Hatch who had to sit out over a year with an arm injury.

“I can’t take all the credit. [Pitching coach] Rob [Walton] really mentored me through the past year and really equipped me for what was to happen this year. Being out 15 months was really tough, but ultimately it helped me mentally and physically and I needed it. It was a blessing in disguise.”

“That award is a great way to bring the whole thing together,” said head coach Josh Holliday. “It’s a compliment to not only Thomas but to Rob.”

OSU also had five players named to the second team and/or honorable mention. Here’s the full list.
