OSU Making Headway With No. 1 Player in 2017 Class
There’s a possibility that Brad Underwood and his staff could make the splash of the century with the top player in the class of 2017. Lamont Evans, the dynamic recruiter who was added to Brad Underwood’s staff via South Carolina, is reportedly making real progress in the recruitment of DeAndre Ayton – a five-star power forward and the consensus No. 1 player in the class of 2017.

Ayton is a 7-foot, 235-pound athlete who can score at an incredible rate and uses his size to his advantage, too. Ayton averages 30 points and 20 rebounds per game for Phoenix’s Hillcrest Prep. He tells USA Today that he doesn’t plan to make a decision on his college destination until next spring. He has his choice of the litter being the No. 1 player in the class, but at the moment favors Kansas, Duke, and Kentucky.
