Paul Rhoads: ‘I Have so Much Respect for Mike Gundy’
This humorously reminded me of Paul Rhoads’ most famous speech (more on that in a second).
“I have so much respect for Mike Gundy and the coaching staff down at Oklahoma State as well as the football program,” said Rhoads earlier this week. “They have quietly but consistently moved right to the top of the league. They got everybody’s attention with the tremendous victory over TCU.”
Everybody except the CFB Playoff committee.
“They were dominating the football game.” Rhoads said of OSU’s performance against TCU. “There’s no question that they have talent, but they really executed and played well against what we already know is a very good TCU team.”
Anyway, when Rhoads said “I have so much respect … “ I was reminded of his most famous “I am so proud” speech (he also did this after the 2011 OSU game but I just can’t bring myself to post that one).
I freaking love college football.
