Pitt Starting Receiver’s Status ‘Up in the Air’
Pitt’s second leading receiver from a year ago, Dontez Ford, sustained a right arm injury in Saturday’s contest against Penn State. According to head coach Pat Narduzzi his status is “up in the air” for the game against Oklahoma State this weekend.
“We’ll continue to wait and see where we are this week,” Narduzzi said via the Pittsburg Post-Gazette. “He’s a tough kid.”
Ford is Pitt’s leading returning receiver from last year, after recording 26 receptions for 505 yards and 2 touchdowns in 2015. He has just two receptions for 14 yards this season, and sat out the entire second half last Saturday after sustaining the right arm injury.
Oklahoma State is 6.5 point favorites over Pitt this weekend.
