POLL: Better Pro Prospect — Baker Mayfield or Mason Rudolph?
We know Baker Mayfield and Mason Rudolph have a budding bromance, but they are also linked in another way. Todd McShay has them No. 7 and No. 8 respectively in his 2017 NFL Draft QB prospect list. That is, he has Mayfield ahead of Rudolph which I found a bit curious.
Obviously I’m incredibly biased, but let me try and alleviate some of that bias by saying I think Mayfield is *probably* a better college QB than Rudolph. And I love Rudolph. I think he’s probably underrated and now that he’s finally out of the shadow of the most decorated general in Oklahoma state history J.W. Walsh, he’ll thrive. But Mayfield is special in the way Tommy Frazier or Charlie Ward or Johnny F. were special. Does that translate to the next level? I’m not sure.
I’m not a scout. I don’t know any scouts. I’m barely still qualified to run this blog, but it seems like, just from watching college and pro football for the last two decades, that NFL teams would want Rudolph more than they would want Mayfield. But I’m curious what you think. Let’s vote on this, and re-visit it later in the week.
Who is a better pro prospect? Todd McShay says Baker > Mason. https://t.co/PynBXM5oyh
Do you agree? Vote.
