QB Jelani Woods Committed to OSU by Facetiming Mike Gundy
Quarterback prospect Jelani Woods, who committed to OSU during a trip to Stillwater last week, did so in the most 2016 way ever.
In an interview with Scout, Woods explained exactly what went down with his decision when he made the call. And it’s awesome.
I facetimed Coach Gundy and told him I wanted to be a Cowboy. He was very excited … Then I called Coach Yurcich, the offensive coordinator to let him know. He was excited .. then it just blew up after that.
What a world!
He also went in detail about the reasoning for his commitment to OSU – which was pretty cool after he admitted he went into the trip to Stillwater not expecting to make decision.
“The facilities are just awesome,” he told Scout. “I’ve never seen such A1 facilities anywhere else. The coaching staff was great, the players were great … Everything just felt comfortable.”
