QB Nyc Burns Receives First Div. I Scholarship

Oklahoma State quarterback commit Nyc Burns, an under-the-radar gem from my alma mater – Berryhill, Okla. – picked up his firstDivision I scholarship offer on Monday from the University of Northern Colorado.

Northern Colorado was the first school to check out Burns last year as a junior, so the offer obviously is a big deal.

He’s planning on taking an official visit this weekend, and with officially his first scholarship offer on the table, it will be interesting to see if the Cowboys can hang on to his commitment or if the chance to play on scholarship elsewhere will be more enticing.
