Myles Brennan, the No. 2 ranked prospect in Mississippi for the 2017 class, made an unofficial visit to Stillwater this week and said he had an “amazing visit” afterward.

After his Friday festivities were over on campus, I got a chance to catch up with him about his first trip to Oklahoma and how his visit went in Stillwater.

“Woke up this morning, went and met Mike Yurcich and Mike Gundy, checked out the facilities, the place, it’s just beautiful,” Brennan said. “It feels like one big family. They’re definitely a great fit.”

Brennan added he’s also big into hunting and fishing, and that he could “definitely see himself fitting in here in Stillwater pretty well,” adding that he “really didn’t want to leave just yet.”

As far as football goes, Brennan said he was really excited about making the trip – which ended up being a monstrous 12 hour drive he took with his parents and his girlfriend.

“We got a chance to watch the practice, and the offense is exactly what we do at my high school” Brennan said. “They do all the things that I like to do in an offense, and that’s to throw the ball and move it around.”

He mentioned the most important thing recruiting wise is to look at all your options, which he’s doing, and to make sure to find the school “that fits you best” and can help you get to the next level.

Oklahoma State hasn’t extended a scholarship offer, but he said Mike Yurcich said not to be concerned about getting an offer at the moment. Yurcich said he fits the style of player the Cowboys are looking for, and that he’s a great fit for the style of offense they want to run. He said Yurcich plans to make a trip down to see Brennan in person during a practice later this spring and, despite leaving Stillwater without an offer, he had a really level headed approach about his thoughts with regard to OSU – mentioning Yurcich will make a trip down to see him later in the spring.

“If he [Mike Yurcich] comes down, I’m going to have a great practice. I just have to work and get better everyday. When he comes down, I’ll just do my thing and show him that I’m capable to play at Oklahoma State.”

Brennan, arguably one of the top players in Mississippi, has thrown for 11,045 yards and 117 touchdowns in just two seasons, including 686 yards on the ground according to MaxPreps.
