RB Commit LD Brown off to Scorching Hot Start for Desoto
4.5
That’s how many yards per carry the run game has produced this season against MAC and FCS level opponents. Not great, but as Kyle suggested, it’s not really all that bad either.
Here’s another number: 9.6.
That’s how many yards per carry Oklahoma State verbal commitment LaDarren Brown averaged in his team’s game on Friday night.
The Desoto squad cracked down on South Oak Cliff, in a crushing 38-9 blowout. He also added a reception that went for a 46-yard gain.
Brown ran a sub 4.4 40-time while camping with the Cowboys over the summer, and his recent commitment makes him the second Desoto product to join the 2016 recruiting commitment list.
Not a bad school to attract recruits from. Desoto is a powerhouse in Texas high school football.
I’m not at all suggesting Brown’s presence would make the run game woes disappear, but with Brown and Booker T. Washington star Justice Hill set to join the program next year, the running back position should be in good shape for the immediate future with Carr and Carson both set to return next year, Lord willing.
