The Reload is the latest addition to Pistols Firing Blog, where we will fill you in on the latest recruiting news, rumors, interviews, projections and more. Without further ado, the weekend reload is here and it’s jam packed. Let’s get to it.

Gundy nabs running back from Georgia

JD King, a current three-star prospect from Fitzgerald, Ga., announced he committed to Oklahoma State on Friday during an unofficial visit. King is a 5-11, 205-pound monster who can do it all as an all-purpose back. He refuses to be brought down, can catch passes out of the backfield, does well in blitz pickups, and more importantly is a very willing blocker who punishes defenders who underestimate him. The Cowboys picked up a good one. You can read more on him and watch his insane highlight reel here.

Hoops host visitors in Stillwater

It was a day of unofficial visits for two prospects (At the least): 2016 signee Lindy Waters III, and 2019 point guard Grant Sherfield from Mansfield Summit, Texas. Waters will be on campus soon and Sherfield, although a 2019 prospect, already holds offers from OSU, San Diego, and Baylor.

Another small hoops tidbit…

It appears OSU’s Lamont Evans is in contact with Dylan Smith, a transfer prospect from UNC Asheville. Smith lead his team in scoring as a true freshman, but elected to transfer to “embark on a new journey elsewhere.”

Other offers and commits

2017 linebacker and defensive end Logan Rudolph, the younger brother of Mason, committed to Clemson in the most epic way possible.

Oklahoma State offered 2018 offensive lineman Barton Clement. The 6-2, 305-pound guard from Missouri City, Texas, now has offers from UM, OSU, OU, Baylor,  Texas A&M, Houston, TCU, and UCLA.
