The Reload: Arkansas Pushing for Mbanasor, Latest on the Hoops Recruiting Scene
The Reload is PFB’s recruiting recap, catching you up to speed on the latest news and rumors surrounding Oklahoma State recruiting, with an ear to the ground for what to expect in the future.
Nelson Mbanasor keeping options open
Oklahoma State defensive end pledge Nelson Mbanasor of Pflugerville, Texas, appears to be seriously considering Arkansas after a strong push from the Hogs recently. “I’ve been talking to everybody on the coaching staff lately,” Mbanasor told Arkansas recruiting analyst Richard Davenport. “They’ve been recruiting me hard and trying to get me up there for an official. They’re really a great staff.”
At the moment he remains committed to OSU — but it appears he is keeping his options very open and will likely plan an official visit to Arkansas. He also added that “I feel like the SEC is the big dog league.”
He could be on decommitment watch and he’ll be one to keep an eye on moving forward.

Oklahoma State makes new tight end offer
OSU has offered 2018 tight end Christian Trahan of Sulphur, LA. The 6-3 tight end also has offers from SMU, SE Louisiana, and LA Tech.
Blessed to receive my 9th, and 1st Big 12 offer from Oklahoma State University❕❗️⚫️?⚫️? #GoPokes pic.twitter.com/0aqBm5ftpU

Trahan is more evidence of OSU’s continued push in Louisiana, and with the addition of LSU transfer Tyron Johnson, it could open the door for more access to The Boot in the future.
Joshua Moore sets commitment date
We noted earlier this week that his twin brother, Jordan, is expecting to trim his list soon. And Joshua, the 2018 receiver from Yoakum, Texas, has set his commitment date for June 18th. Almost a year away!!! FWIW, Texas is considered the heavy favorite for both brothers.

New hoops offer
Oklahoma State extended an offer to 2018 guard Matthue Cotton of St. Benedicts on Monday.
Blessed to receive an offer from Oklahoma State??
— Matthue (@matt28cotton) September 13, 2016
The 6-foot-5 shooter from Philadelphia has offers VCU, Temple, and Seton Hall — and OSU is arguably his biggest to date. He’s not ranked by recruiting services.
Hoops recruiting notes
While at St. Benedicts on Monday to extend an offer to Matthue Cotton, Brad Underwood also stopped by to see Bourama Sidibe, a small forward with 20 offers.
Brad Underwood was also among the contingent to stop by and see 2018 guard Anfernee Simons, whom OSU offered earlier this summer.
Oklahoma State was also part of contingent joining Rick Pitino today in attendance for 2018 @TeamBreakdown guard Anfernee Simons
