The Reload is PFB’s recruiting recap, catching you up to speed on the latest news and rumors surrounding Oklahoma State recruiting, with an ear to the ground for what to expect in the future.

2018 Four-star QB Planning Visit

The first expected visit will come on Friday from 2018 quarterback Cameron Rising of California. Rising is on a tour across the states, where he is visiting Alabama, LSU, Houston, TCU, OU and OSU last.

At the moment, OU, UCLA, Arizona State, Alabama, Miami and LSU are the leaders in the clubhouse in his recruitment. Perhaps a successful visit in Stillwater, coupled with him having family from the Ada, Okla. area could sway his thoughts about the Cowboys.

Gundy offers Georgia Tech Pledge

Oklahoma State has offered 2017 kicker Joseph Bulovas, a 6-foot, 205-lb. kicker from Mandeville, LA. Bulovas is committed to Georgia Tech and is a highly touted recruit who will play in the US Army All-American Bowl.

2017 Receiver Names Favorite

Arlington, Bowie receiver Braydon Johnson is the latest OSU target to pick up an offer just last month. And so far, so good for the Pokes, who are now considered the leader in the clubhouse to land him. The 2017 prospect has 8 offers from Colorado State, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Tulsa and Utah State.

As for what that means for other receiver targets like Cedarian Lamb, I would surmise the coaches likely know their fate and are moving on from the Foster prospect — as many believe he is likely to commit back to OU.

Losing recruits to Texas A&M

Two OSU targets high on the radar recently made their decisions, and chose the Aggies over the Cowboys. The first, Creed Humphrey, an in-state offensive lineman who had a plethora of options, was considered to be an OU/TexasA&M lean after OSU jumped in late in the process.

The second to choose A&M recently was 2017 linebacker/safety Devodrick Johnson. Johnson is a Dallas Kimball prospect, who had the Cowboys in his top group but opted to stay in state.

2018 Tulsa Union Prospect Planning Visit

6-foot-3 Union receiver CJ Moore posted this picture below to his twitter with the caption “next week”, assuming he will be making an unofficial visit to Stillwater.

Moore is a freak athlete playing for the Tulsa powerhouse and, from what I have drawn, is apparently related to Tracy Moore and Tramonda Moore. If this is indeed true, it could certainly help the Pokes chances in landing the well-regarded receiver who has offers from Texas A&M, TCU, Georgia, Texas Tech, Cincinnati, and UTSA.

Underwood pursuing two five-star prospects

Five-star shooting guard Collin Sexton named his top 10 schools on Monday, and OSU made the cut. Sexton visited OSU just last month, and is expected to cut his list from 10 to 5 sometime in August. With OSU left with a void at shooting guard with a chance to offer a lot of early playing time with Forte’s last year approaching I would expect the Cowboys make the cut.

Another five-star prospect now on the board is Las Vegas prospect Troy Brown. Brown is a small forward with 14 offers including Cal, Kansas, Arizona, Louisville and others.
