Report: Joseph Randle Ordered to Mental Health Facility
Joe Randle may finally be getting the help he desperately needs.
After the former Oklahoma State and Dallas Cowboy was arrested for a sixth time in just 17 months, a judge ruled he be taken to a mental health facility.
Here’s the report from TMZ:
TMZ Sports has obtained court docs filed in Kansas stemming from his February car attack arrest in which his attorneys say a mental health professional has raised concerns about Randle’s mental health and “his ability to make decisions and control his behaviors.”
The mental health professional recommended Randle receive at least 30 days in an inpatient treatment facility.
The judge in the case sided with Randle’s team — and ordered him to receive treatment as part of his bond … and will allow him to work with the NFL Players Association to select the facility.
As part of the terms of the bond, Randle must submit weekly progress reports detailing his treatment.
Pretty sad. And even more sad, Randle apparently turned down mental health treatment in Dallas – which ultimately lead to his release from the team.
Cowboys asked Joseph Randle to enter a mental health facility in DFW area in his final days with team. He refused, so they released him.
