Report: Mike Boynton Adds Florida Gulf Coast’s Michael Fly to Fill Final Assistant Position
Mike Boynton has added Floriad Gulf Coast assistant Michael Fly to his staff according to ESPN’s Jeff Goodman.
If Fly’s departure becomes official, he’ll be the final coach that was a part of ‘Dunk City’ when the Eagles made a deep NCAA Tournament run under Andy Enfield, who left to coach at USC. He also served under head coach Joe Dooley and spent one year as an assistant video coordinator for the Charlotte Bobcats.
Fly will join John Cooper as an addition to the staff and fill the final assistant spot. Boynton retained Lamont Evans as his Associate Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator and promoted former player and staff Keiton Page to Director of Player Development.
