Senior Walk-On Running Back from Oklahoma Awarded Scholarship
Oklahoma State announced on Tuesday that senior running back Keegan Metcalf, a walk-on from Elk City, Okla., is being placed on scholarship this semester.
“I almost – I didn’t cry! But I almost started crying when he told me,” Metcalf said after being told he was being placed on scholarship. “I texted my dad and told him that he didn’t have to worry about getting a loan this semester. So he called me after that and I guess my mom overheard it, and I heard her squeal in the background.” Check out the full reaction from Metcalf in the video below:
No greater joy as a head coach than putting a young man like Keegan Metcalf on scholarship. #okstatehttps://t.co/shqfMWb1oS
