Seth Jacobs Mulling Retirement?
According to a report from the Tulsa World’s Bill Haisten, junior linebacker Seth Jacobs is expected to announce he is retiring from football due to chronic shoulder issues he has experieneced through his career.
Jacobs still has one year of eligibility remaining, but has already graduated – and the situation in which he announces his retirement makes sense.
Here is what Jacobs had to say regarding the report:

Jacobs was the defensive MVP of the Ticket City Cactus Bowl, but has been plagued by injuries throughout his Cowboy career, starting 26 consecutive games even with a hand injury this season in which he wore a massive cast.
“I just play with it,” Jacobs told the Stillwater News Press earlier this season when asked about his hand injury. “It’s not the first time I’ve played with pain, it’s just part of the game and you just have to do what you have to do.”
“He’s got injuries going on right now that people don’t know about,” Glenn Spencer added. “The guy is unbelievable. He never complains and plays hard every snap. He’s not at his top health wise, but we just try to manage that and see if we can make it through Saturdays with him.”
