The Good News for OSU Is That Texas Seems Content with Moral Victories
I am incredibly concerned about this weekend. I’m concerned about the line (Vegas), the rhythm (Texas is going to lose two straight at home?) and that Texas seemingly has found its next Vince.
What sort of soothes these concerns is the fact that Texas doesn’t exactly seem to be locked in on going for the kill.
Here’s what Daje Johnson said after losing to Cal.
Texas WR Daje Johnson on close loss to Cal: "It did kind of feel like a victory. People are more excited about our performance now."

Johnathan Gray made it sound like they were fighting for the Big 12 title.
“The Horns are definitely comin’! I feel what we displayed last week was amazing,” Gray said. “You saw a team down 21 points. To put us back into almost going to overtime to a team we were supposed to lose to by 7 or 14, it shows how much fight we have and how much guys want it.”
What?!
This is Texas we’re talking about here. Playing California. Not Rice trying to hang with LSU.
It takes a long time to flip cultures at sprawling places like the 40 Acres. For our sake, I hope that doesn’t happen for about 14 more months.
