Trae Young Down To Three Schools With Decision Looming
A long, drawn out recruitment process for five-star point guard Trae Young is drawing close to an end. The five-star point guard from Norman North announced on Monday afternoon that he will be announcing his commitment date later this week.
With five schools, Kentucky, Kansas, OU, OSU, and Texas in his final five, Young told KFOR’s Nate Feken that he has narrowed his list to three. But won’t say who those three are just yet.
“It’s been a long recruitment process,” Young told Feken earlier this week. “I’ve been at this since my freshman year. But this last few months have been the most stressful. I’m having to really sit down and decide who I’m going to go with. I think the hardest part about it is telling these final schools — the other five know — I’ve built relationships with all these guys. But it’s been a fun process and I’m looking forward to it.”
When asked if he was down to two schools (as his father suggested to Feken), Young insisted he still had three in the mix.
“I’m down to three schools. I won’t say which three, but I’m down to three.”
