Tyler Patmon Released by Dallas
Former Oklahoma State defensive back Tyler Patmon was released by the Dallas Cowboys on Tuesday, the organization announced.
Patmon was in his second year in Dallas after signing as an undrafted free agent.
“Yeah, we released Tyler today. We felt like it was the best move for our team right now. We’re going to work through what the substitutions will be on the back end,” Garrett told DallasCowboys.com. “He’s been a good player for us, and he has a chance to be a good player in this league.”
When asked if it was performance related (regarding his release), head coach Jason Garrett remarked, “Yes, performance related… Just an evaluation of the body of work and what we’re asking our nickel to do. He’s gotten a lot of opportunities and we feel like we’re going to give that opportunity to someone else right now.”
Tough break for the promising second year player, but I wouldn’t think Patmon will be job less for long.
