Brad Underwood’s Salary Details Announced
The settlement details of Travis Ford’s buyout, along with new head coach Brad Underwood’s salary was approved by the board of regents and released on Friday afternoon.
Underwood will be paid $6.3 million over the next five seasons, according to a report from the Tulsa World.
Here’s his annual salary per Mark Cooper of the Tulsa World:
- 2016-2017: $1 million
- 2017-2018: $1.1 million
- 2018-2019: $1.2 million
- 2019-2020: $1.4 million
- 2020-2021: $1.6 million
Considering his salary at Stephen F. Austin was $400,250, it’s a big raise for Underwood, and a great value for Oklahoma State to bring in a proven winner with success in the NCAA tournament.
The salaries of new Big 12 coaches Jamie Dixon and Chris Beard have yet to be revealed, but according to the salaries released by USA Today for last season, Underwood very well could become the lowest paid coach in the conference behind Iowa State’s Steve Prohm.
