Mike Gundy Spent his Tuesday Recruiting a Four-star Running Back
Oklahoma State coaches made an offer to four-star running back Eno Benjamin, a running back from Wylie, Texas recently, and the coaching staff is now hitting it hard on the recruiting trail to sway Benjamin towards the orange and black.
Benjamin is rated by Scout as the No. 3 running back in the talent rich state of Texas, and a top 100 national recruit. So with several big-time talents graduating this year in Rennie Childs and Chris Carson, the Cowboy coaching staff want to bring in a feature back to come in and compete right away. Benjamin fits the bill. And Mike Gundy and running backs coach Marcus Arroyo spent their Tuesday making their pitch.
Benjamin tweeted that he just got off the phone with “one of the best staffs in the nation”, and not long after, coach Marcus Arroyo subtly confirmed the tweet:
Just got off the phone with one of the best staffs in the nation! ?????

The 2017 class currently has commitments from offensive lineman Adrian Wolford, linebacker Brendan Vaughn, and safety Ty Thomas. With the expected talent to leave at the running back position, Benjamin would obviously be a welcome addition to that group.
