Oklahoma State Offers 2016 QB Keondre Wudtee

Senior quarterback prospect Keondre Wudtee announced Saturday morning the Cowboys have extended a scholarship offer to him, his seventh according to 247sports.com:

Wudtee, a 6-4, 180-pound prospect, has been committed to Louisiana Tech since May, and also holds offers from Arkansas State, Houston, Louisville, Massachusetts, Memphis and SMU.

A Bossier City, Louisiana native, Wudtee was named the 1-5A offensive MVP for a second straight year last week, throwing for 3,466 yards and 34 touchdowns to go with 401 yards rushing and 5 TD’s on the ground his senior season.

The offer comes just days after extending a scholarship to quarterback/athlete Tony Poljan, which presumably means the Cowboys like Poljan as a tight end prospect rather than quarterback – where they are recruiting Wudtee.

Wudtee is a freak athlete with a natural instint to keep plays alive using his legs, and shows elusiveness to avoid pressure in the pocket. His ability to extend plays, along with his accuracy throwing the deep ball make Wudtee a very interesting prospect. Even more interesting, Rivals reports that Wudtee is expected to be a December graduate. Demetric Warren says he will take an official visit to Stillwater on Jan. 15.
