Recruiting
OSU Pursuing Four-star RB Devwah Whaley
Oklahoma State already has two commitments at running back with Justice Hill and LaDarren Brown expected to sign in the 2016 recruiting class, but the Cowboys are believed to be pursuing one final running back to wrap up recruitment at the position for this cycle.
As it stands, there are several running back prospects on the list, but at the top of the list is four-star running back from Beaumont, Texas, Devwah Whaley. Whaley has been verbally committed to Georgia up until yesterday, where he announced his decision to rescind his verbal pledge.
Coincidence or not, the Cowboy coaching staff was in to see him earlier in the day, per Jeremy Crabtree of ESPN:
#OklahomaState in Beaumont today to see #ESPN300 , @AllAmericaGame RB & #UGA verbal @devwah_whaley . #GoPokes trying to get OV

And running backs coach Marcus Arroyo indicated the visit went fairly well:

As it stands now, Texas has emerged as one of the top schools to land his services, and Oklahoma, although they have several elite backs of their own, were once believed to be the favorite. But if the Cowboys can get Whaley for an official visit before signing day, there’s a good chance Mike Gundy brings out Barry’s Heisman again and gives him the full court press for one of the top running backs in the nation.
