The Reload is PFB’s recruiting recap, catching you up to speed on the latest news and rumors surrounding Oklahoma State recruiting, with an ear to the ground for what to expect in the future.

More on KD Nixon naming OSU in top 5 schools

Four-star DeSoto receiver KD Nixon, a 2017 prospect with upwards of 20 scholarship offers, named OSU in his top schools over the weekend and the Pokes seem to be squarely in the mix to land his services. Nixon committed to Tennessee in April but opened his recruitment back up at the end of June. With Nixon now playing with quarterback Shawn Robinson, a top ranked dual-threat quarterback who transferred from Denton Guyer to DeSoto, it makes sense why TCU, the school Robinson is committed to, made his newly named top 5.

And on top of naming the Cowboys in his top 5, he also told Scout of his intentions to take an official visit to Stillwater.

“I want to visit Oklahoma State, Arizona State, Tennessee,” he continued.

And even though his recruitment is still running rampant with interest, he still doesn’t yet have a timeline for when he makes a final decision. “Whatever God says is the right time to do it [Commit to a school], is the right time to do it.”

New Running Back Offer

Huntsville, Alabama running back prospect Tae Provens announced an offer from Oklahoma State on twitter on Monday.

On top of the offer, running backs Coach Marcus Arroyo also hinted that a visit may be in the works in July. With the dead period ended Sunday, prospects are now free to come and go. It appears he will be on campus sometime this month.

Glenn Spencer Pushing for JUCO Linebacker

OSU is one of three schools at the moment vying for the services of 2017 linebacker Patrick Macon, an inside linebacker playing for Arizona Western College. The 6-3, 235-lb. prospect is game ready for wherever he chooses to attend, and according to Macon, Spencer is pushing hard for him. “I talk with [Glenn Spencer] almost everyday. I can’t wait to get down there to Stillwater for a visit real soon,” Macon said.

2018 QB Planning Unofficial Visit to Stillwater Tuesday

The son of former OSU and professional tight end Marcellus Rivers, MJ Rivers, is taking an unofficial visit to Stillwater today. MJ is a dual-threat quarterback with really good size at 6-foot-4, 210-pounds. He runs a lot of wildcat, designed run plays however he has a good arm to go with his size, and he seems to be pretty accurate throwing on the run. Mike Yurcich has proven he likes his quarterbacks tall and seems to be moving toward dual threat rather than pro-style prospects, so Rivers visit will be one to keep an eye on Tuesday.

Four-star receiver CeeDee Lamb names top 5

The Cowboys keep hanging around for four-star receiver and former Sooners commit CeeDee Lamb of Foster, Texas. Lamb named the Pokes in his top 10 recently, and over the weekend, he narrowed it down to 5 of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, Florida, and Texas A&M.

“Just seeing where I fit on the deep chart if I were to commit,” he said about what he is talking with his parents and coaches about as far as the school he wishes to attend. “How I would fit in, how would I contribute to the team … just seeing where I can fit in best to make it to the league,” he said in an interview with Taylor Hamm of 247sports.
