How San Jose State’s Head Coaching Hire Affects OSU
San Jose State has reportedly hired Oregon State assistant coach Brent Brennan, according to a report from John Canzano.

Why does that matter?
Oklahoma State running backs coach Marcus Arroyo, one of the top recruiters on the staff, was rumored to be one of a few names under consideration for the head coaching vacancy.
Arroyo was the quarterback for San Jose State from 1998-2002. He also spent several posts at the school coaching, most recently serving as the co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 2008 after starting in 2005 as a graduate assistant.
So the link to the school was organic.
Soooo fired up for my man @coachbrennan and @SJSUSpartanFB !!! HOMERUN!!!

Who knows if Arroyo has any real interest in leaving OSU for another position. But a head coaching position would be an enticing offer that would understandably be difficult to turn down. For Mike Gundy, I would suspect that he would love to hang on to Arroyo — who has helped reel in some major reinforcements at running back with Chuba Hubbard and J.D. King.
